Researchers in Chapel Hill surveyed 1,100 men asking them a variety of questions about their sex lives and exercise regime.
The team started by developing an online questionnaire for nearly 1,100 participants, most of whom were experienced athletes who had trained hard for years.
Based on the respondent's answers, each of them were categorized based on the lengths of their workouts and if the exercise they perform where light, moderate or intense.
Noting a distinct lack of data on the relationship between exercise and sex drive in men, researchers at the University of North Carolina dug into the subject, and their findings may not please devoted gym rats.

The analysis was conducted mainly through the participant's report on their sex life, duration of exercise, and intensity of exercise.
Researchers published their study results in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
The study is one of the first to scientifically investigate the link between a man's workout and the quality of their sex lives, according to the New York Times.
Because the study used a small sample of men that can't possibly represent the entire gender, it can't definitely declare that harder workouts lead to low libidos.
