Ford dismissed 52,000 pickup trucks due to manufacturing glitch.
The automaker is not aware of any crashes or injuries associated with this issue.
The recall affects 53,000 2017 F-250 trucks. F-250 drivers can enter their VIN number on the NHTSA website to see if they have an affected model.

If this happens, could lead to accidents and various damages. If the parking brake is not used, the truck could move even while in park. The parking pawl, the little piece of metal that locks the transmission in place when you select Park, is not created to continuously hold the weight of the vehicle on any kind of significant incline.
To hear there is yet another vehicle manufacturer recall would not necessarily be a surprise at this point.
That recall covers 230,000 Escape SUVs, Fiesta ST subcompacts, Fusion midsize vehicles, and Transit Connect vans with 1.6-liter turbocharged engines from 2013 through 2015.
Affected vehicles include 2014 Ford Fiestas, 2013 and 2014 Ford Fusions and 2013 and 2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles.
