Journey is one of six acts being inducted into the Hall of Fame at Friday's ceremony.
TMZ caught up with guitarist Neal Schon this morning, and he confirmed that Perry will be there.
Journey is reportedly opening the Barclays Center ceremony, but it's not yet clear if Perry will perform, TMZ reports. That was the last time I spoke with him. "It's always about the fans, but I'm grateful that we're going in". But since he did go onstage a year ago in a few different markets with the Eels and sang some of our stuff, I'm like, 'Well, why wouldn't he do that with us?' Everybody's celebrating our legacy that he and I and Jonathan [Cain] and Ross [Valory] and Steve Smith and [former Journey member and co-founder Greg] Rolie and everybody contributed to.

Along with Journey, Pearl Jam, Yes, ELO, Tupac Shakur, Joan Baez and Nile Rodgers are being inducted. Lee and RUSH bandmate Alex Lifeson will be on hand to induct the legendary prog-rock outfit, and while organizers disputed rumors that Lee would subsequently join them for a performance, rehearsal photos suggest otherwise.
Journey is scheduled for concert tour stop at the Greensboro Coliseum on Monday, June 12. Fans who can't make it to the Induction ceremony in NY or the sold out simulcast at the Rock Hall will be able to watch the Induction ceremony when it airs on HBO later this month.
