Samsung Galaxy Note 8: Looks Like Galaxy S8 But Just Bigger

The company claims that Bixby will allow S8 owners to completely control everything on their phones via voice but now, even the voice control part is still incomplete. Samsung reveals that pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have surpassed all past records in home country as more than 550,000 units of the phones have been reportedly booked in just two days.

The Galaxy S8 Plus 128GB model - which comes with 6GB RAM in Korea and China - has proven the most popular, initial stock for which has run out in the pre-order sales. As an odd side note, owners of older Galaxy phones are more inclined to buy a new Samsung phone than owners of more recent devices. Now we have an official confirmation from the company and the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus will debut in India on April 19th. Rumor has it that Samsung has revved up its research and development in order release a small supply of Galaxy X smartphones by the end of this year.

The comments were at odds with a Bloomberg report which claimed that Samsung would release two bendable smartphones: One that folded in half, and another with a 5-inch display that "unfurled" into a tablet-sized 8-inch panel.

Just to keep you informed, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were opened for pre-orders in South Korea on April 7, which is just a week ago. At launch, Samsung proclaimed with pride that using Bixby on Galaxy S8, "Anything you could do with touch, you can do with voice".

As for preorders in the US, Koh said, "Although we are not able to disclose the exact figure, preorders of the Galaxy S8 are higher than those of its predecessor Galaxy S7 in the US".

Speaking about the specifications of the phones, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are only differentiated in terms of display and battery capacity.

One of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy S8 is the brand's new virtual assistant Bixby. Samsung wants the Galaxy S8 to become the best smartphone available in the market.

The reports follow on the heels of Samsung's Project Valley, an "early vision" of a foldable smartphone that featured a single flexible panel.
