Jinder Mahal No. 1 contender for WWE Championship

Jinder Mahal No. 1 contender for WWE Championship

WWE Champion Randy Orton comes face-to-face with his new No. 1 contender before calling out Bray Wyatt ahead of their House of Horrors Match at WWE Payback.

The next WWE SmackDown Women's Championship match has been announced.

Naomi will fight Charlotte for the SmackDow Women's Championship next week.

This would draw Smackdown Women's Champion Naomi out to the ring where she would reveal that Smackdown has no Queens.

Mahal won a number one contender's match on tonight's SmackDown to advance to Backlash, where he'll challenge for the title.

The match was Jinder Mahal's first singles win on Raw or Smackdown since September 12.

Sami Zayn has Jinder Mahal set up perfectly for the Helluva Kick when the Bollywood Boyz (Harv and Gurv Sihra) grab Zayn's legs in the corner.

Charlotte would gain the victory over the current Smackdown champion and she would guarantee that the two will meet again next week. The Colons were part of the Superstar Shake-up and made a statement with a change in attitude.

Something that clearly didn't go down well with the rest of the women's locker room, several members would take their chance to let the Smackdown Commissioner know their feelings.

After being brutally attacked last week, American Alpha is out for payback against Primo & Epico Colon. In his first-ever Face of America Open Challenge, Owens quickly defeated local talent Gary Gandy, punctuating the end of that match with his signature Pop-Up Powerbomb. Since Styles pinned Zayn, Corbin is furious that the opportunity was stolen from him, so he wanted this match to get back at the "face that runs the place".

Finally, United STates champion Kevin Owens was ready to compete...against anyone who wasn't a seasoned veteran of Smackdown.

Citing not being pinned in the loss, Corbin demanded the rematch with Styles.

The night's main event saw AJ Styles, who is the No 1 contender to Owens' US Championship, do battle with Baron Corbin.
