Trump says he'll mark 100 days with Pennsylvania rally

It will be the first rally Mr Trump has held in over a month.

The reasoning for the rally or topics of discussion were not immediately clear, though it comes as Trump crosses the 100-day mark of his time in office.

Mr. Trump decried the 100-day marker as "ridiculous" on Twitter this week, but during the presidential campaign he laid out his own "100-day action plan to Make America Great Again".

Details were revealed on Trump's campaign website.

Trump's decision to skip the correspondents dinner and hold a rally on the same night as the event may put White House reporters in a tough spot, forcing them to choose between attending the black-tie dinner and covering Trump's rally in Pennsylvania.

The "enemies" remark is a play on a tweet from Trump in February, when he said the "FAKE NEWS media ... is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!"

There have been mixed reviews of Trump's first 100 days and he has received some criticism for Congress' inability to repeal and replace The Affordable Care Act, among other things.

Full Frontal host Samantha Bee is holding an event called "Not the White House Correspondents' Dinner" at a hotel a couple of miles away from the annual event.

The dinner has for decades been attended by sitting presidents and scores of administration officials.
