'Morning Joe' Co-Hosts Joe Scarborough And Mika Brzezinski Are Engaged

Last August President Donald Trump hinted at their relationship in a series of tweets, calling Brzezinski a "very insecure long-time girlfriend" of Scarborough. Rumors of a romance first surfaced last year, shortly after Brzezinski split from her husband of 23 years. The couple confirmed it in an interview with Vanity Fair published Thursday.

Trump suggested if that if the "Morning Joe" co-hosts ever chose to get married, they should do it at Mar-a-Lago - or the White House.

The couple began working together on the MSNBC talk show in 2007, although, at the time they both living separate lives with their respective partners. Nearly the entire time, gossip has swirled off-set and online about whether the two are more than just colleagues.

When asked if that offer was still on the table, Brzezinski said, "The White House that I grew up in was an unbelievable place".

Another anonymous source, one reportedly close to Scarborough, said, "He's had a rough few years with his divorce and the passing of his father, but he's been the happiest he's ever been these last few months with Mika".

While the couple is just now acknowledging their relationship publicly, it seems it's been a topic of private convos for a while.

Brzezinski told Vanity Fair that she will have to decline the invitation. It came as a surprise to Brzezinski.

"When I saw him on one knee, I started laughing nervously, nearly hysterically", she confessed.

"Jared interrupted and said, 'Hey, you know what?"

Things have gotten pretty steamy on Morning Joe!

The New York Post's Page Six column broke the news: "We're told Scarborough, 54, got down on one knee and proposed at the scenic Bar Bellini at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, which has a breathtaking moonlit outdoor terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea".

During a private luncheon at the White House just after Trump was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States in January, he and his family were busy planning a potential wedding for the newscasters he's rumored to hate-watch several days a week.
