Indian diplomat caught taking pictures in Islamabad High Court

Uzma's lawyer, Malik Shah Nawaz Noon and First Secretary to the Indian High Commission Piyush Singh filed the petition on her behalf in the IHC stating that her husband Tahir Ali had deceived her as he was already married, and that he stole her passport and other travel documents.

According to Press Trust of India (PTI) reports, 20-year-old Uzma has alleged that Tahir Ali, a Pakistani national, married her at a gun point and he also sexually abused her. Uzma took refuge at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad and said that she will not leave the premises of High Commission's until she is sent back to India.

He was let off only after he offered verbal and written apologies. Singh later issued a written apology, the report added.

"I fully apologise for the attempt of using mobile in court by mistake. It is requested that I may kindly be pardoned for this", said Singh in his statement.

When courtroom officials brought the incident to the notice of the judge, he ordered confiscation of Singh's cellphone, The Express Tribune reported.

Uzma, a resident of New Delhi, filed a plea with an Islamabad court on May 8 against Ali, alleging that she was being intimidated by him.

"I have requested the high court to arrange a meeting with Uzma in a free environment", Ali said over phone, claiming he loved Uzma.

Disillusioned Indian woman who allegedly learnt about her Pakistani husband's lies and chose to end the relation has maintained in a court on Friday that her life is threatened and she should be repatriated. "He even stole my passport and travelling documents", she said. "I was forced to marry at gunpoint and my immigration documents were also taken away from me", she said, according to the official.

After a day's rest, Ahmed said, he went with Uzma to the district court in Daggar to get married, adding that Nikkah Registrar Hamayun Khan, who is also the nazim of the village, performed the nikkah.

The Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) had earlier said that Uzma, will be repatriated only after all legal requirements are completed. She also sought exemption for reporting to police and permission to return to India.

"I urge the court to ask the Foreign Office to issue duplicate travel documents so that I may travel back to India", the application stated.
