Google Photos adds an archive button to declutter your stream

When you've done this, the photo won't show up in your main Google Photos view anymore.

With millions of Android phone users around the world, it is no wonder people end up saving all their photographs over the Google Drive. Everything that is captured will be saved in the folder and will simply be listed based on the date they were saved.

Google rolled a new Archive tool out to Google Photos today that helps you clean-up your main photo feed. This is Google's way of preventing users from ultimately deleting content they may want to keep to themselves. It will likely rollout across the web and iOS app in the coming days.

Essentially, the archive feature is created to remove the clutter from your Photos stream or avoid a potentially embarrassing situation when letting someone scroll through your photos. Whenever you tag yourself in a picture as "me", you'll get personalized search and be able to find all photos of yourself.

A new update to Google Photos will now let you archive photos from the main feed and hide them away, helping you declutter and privatize some personal photos. You can do so one by one or whither by bulk importing them to archives. It was hidden for a long time and the developers have now made a decision to bring it to their users. However, those photos won't be removed from the album, means you can find them later if you want.

Now Google has added one more update to allow users to hide photos in their smartphone.
