The Seattle event was one of many March for Truth protests in cities across the country and world, including Los Angeles, New York City and London.

Another Saturday, another protest against President Donald Trump.

The sides reportedly clashed briefly at the pro-Trump "Pittsburgh Not Paris" rally but no major incidents so far have been reported.

Trump supporters held their own rally on Saturday in Lafayette Square across from the White House.

Wyatt Hurt is another organizer, he said "We see them covering up elements of the FBI investigation, and you look at all that and it's a clear trend of decreased government transparency and that must change".

"It's so blatant. Any other person in office would have been out by now", Margolin said.

"What's unfortunate is the media that's making the division ― and the other leftist group ― but the reality is people do support what he's doing", an unidentified Trump supporter told Fox News.

Several of the protesters held signs decrying Trump's recent move to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Accord.

Christi Branch, a resident of Waynesboro, Virginia, said she drove three hours to Washington to support the President.

But it was the March for Truth that drew the biggest crowds of the day. Soon, a number of other volunteers and community action organizations reportedly signed on.

In Washington, Women's March organizer and longtime activist Linda Sarsour and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) will address a rally in front of the Washington Monument, culminating in an aerial photograph of participants arranged to spell out the event's simple demand: "Investigate Trump".

The Justice Department has appointed former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel to oversee the federal investigation into potential collusion between Trump campaign associates and Russian officials in the election.

The demonstrations were held in conjunction with a national "March For Truth" staged in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. "We will not go back to sleep".

"Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress need to know that we won't let this issue get swept under the rug", Sean Eldridge, founder and president of Stand Up America, one of the March's organizational partners, said in a statement. "He's a man of his word and I respect that".
