Premier League fixtures: Easy run-ins for Spurs and Man City

Elsewhere on the final day, Liverpool host Brighton, Chelsea will travel to St James' Park to face Newcastle and Tottenham face Leicester.

The Premier League, the world's most lucrative league, kicks off on August 12 with champions Chelsea hosting Burnley.

Antonio Conte will be satisfied by Chelsea's run-in, with their only meeting against a top-six opponent coming at home to Liverpool in the penultimate game of the campaign.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2017/18 season have been announced, and fans are starting to get excited for the upcoming campaign which is nearing ever closer with each passing day.

But it could prove a tricky opening few weeks for the defending champions too, with Chelsea hosting Everton (26 August), visiting 2015-16 winners Leicester after the global break and then welcoming Arsenal (16 September).

Runners-up Tottenham start away from home for the seventh successive season. Liverpool host Everton at Anfield in December, while the first Manchester derby of the season sees United and City meet at Old Trafford.

In the second week of the season, Tottenham play at Wembley for the first time in the Premier League, having played their European matches there last season, and welcome Chelsea to their new home.

There will be some early Christmas cheer in the blue half of Manchester should City topple United at Old Trafford on December 9, but April could prove more decisive as they host their neighbours and then visit Tottenham.

Huddersfield Town's first Premier League match will take place at Crystal Palace.

The home fixture at Wembley in mid-February falls at the stage of the season where Arsenal habitually begin their annual collapse and could be followed by games in the Champions League round of 16 for Spurs or the Europa League round of 32 for both clubs.

After going to Anfield on August 26, Arsenal go to Chelsea on September 16 and City on November 4 - both after playing Europa League games on Thursday night. This season the first one comes during a challenging stretch for the Gunners, but Arsenal will be desperate for a win to reclaim some bragging rights after finishing below Spurs for the first time under Wenger.

The first north London derby takes place at Emirates Stadium on the weekend of November 18/19.
