Pa. man charged with murder in road rage shooting of teen

Roberson changed lanes at the same time Desper did, and although their vehicles didn't collide, the suspect reportedly became irate and shot at her.

Roberson's auto veered off the road and crashed into a tree while the shooter fled in a bright red pickup. "This appears to be a savage, senseless and brutal act from one human being to another human being".

He struggled to find words for the man who shot her. "And for reasons that are incomprehensible to me, the family is now planning her funeral instead of a going-away party for college", West Goshen Police Chief Joseph Gleason said.

At a Friday press briefing, police released a sketch of the suspected driver of the pickup, a man believed to be in his mid 20s to 30s, with a medium build, and blonde or light brown hair.

Hogan said that a dented and faded red Chevy Silverado C1500, matching the physical description of the vehicle recorded in videos, was registered to Desper and recovered at 58 Huntington Farm Drive in Glen Mills.

"It's important for us to not only show support but show she lives on", he said.

Roberson had been shopping for new clothes at Main Street at Exton with family members and had just left to drive home when she encountered the suspect on Route 100.

A witness described hearing a loud noise and then seeing one auto, which belonged to Roberson, swerving off the road while another sped away, officials said.

An arrest was made Sunday in the case involving an 18-year-old honors student who was killed Wednesday afternoon in what police described as a road rage shooting. "She didn't deserve to die like this".

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the shooter. The page now has more than $30,000 in donations.

"We can not begin to express our extreme gratitude for the donations that continue to come in", a Friday update on the page stated.

The family has created a GoFundMe account to help with funeral expenses.
