Moto X4 to feature dual rear camera, IP68 water resistance

The Moto X line of phones has been out of the market for a while now, and we're hoping that the Moto X4 is a return to form.

Motorola introduced the concept of Moto Mods two years back along with the new Moto Z Series of smartphones.

A leak of a company presentation slide from May revealed that there would be five phone ranges of the new Moto to come, including what we now know to be the Moto X4.

The Lenovo-owned company is expected to launch the Moto Z2 alongside the superior Moto Z2 Force in the coming weeks, and now a new render of the latter has emegerged.

Motorola took the stage in Ghana to take the wraps off the new Moto 360 Camera Mod.

The Moto X4 shares a similar design to the other Moto phones announced this year but looks a bit more refined thanks to its glass back. The phone will be featuring a 5.5-inch full-HD display and could also be powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 chipset, which is a deca-core processor.

The worldwide Moto E4 is also slightly thicker than the US variant, so even if you can overcome the incorrect placement of the headphone jack and microphones, the phones themselves likely won't fit properly in their opposing cases.

A DSLR Moto Mod was also unveiled and it comes with Camera Lens support.

Interestingly, the USA variant of Moto E4 rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, but according to the unit (XT1760) that is seen in the unboxing, the smartphone comes with a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Meanwhile, there will apparently be a 16-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side.

The Moto E4 has apparently made its way to offline stores in India before even getting an official announcement from Motorola. As for the rest of the mods, the images we have above are apparently sourced from a second, also now-nonexistent video on Moto's YouTube page, so they is the best we can offer, unfortunately.
