Actor Shia LaBeouf arrested in Savannah

As Fox News reports, Shia LaBeouf was arrested early on Saturday morning and spent several hours in custody.

The 31-year-old has been released after posting a $7,000 bond charge. He was facing public drunkenness, obstruction and disorderly conduct charges.

LaBeouf was asked to leave, but allegedly refused and became aggressive toward an officer, according to TMZ.

But he managed to escape and ran away to a hotel lobby, where LaBeouf was eventually arrested.

LaBeouf was filming a new movie in Savannah, Georgia.

One white man (not LaBeouf) was booked for "possession of drug-related objects"; none were booked for marijuana possession. In January, he was arrested in NY after police said he got in a scuffle with a man at his own art exhibit. LaBeouf is inviting the public to participate in the project by saying the phrase, "He will not divide us", into the camera.

LaBeouf was arrested earlier this following an altercation at his "He Will Not Divide Us" art installation in NY, though the charges were later dropped.

Police said the argument wasn't necessarily about Trump, NBC New York reported. In 2015, he was cuffed in Austin, Texas for public intoxication.

A representative for the Chatham County jail could not be reached to confirm whether the actor had been released.

Just months later, the Disturbia actor was arrested for threatening cops and slapping theatre-goers at a performance of Cabaret in NY.

The actor has been arrested before for drunken behavior, in NY three years ago and in California for drunken driving in 2008, according to TMZ.

As hard as it is to be arrested for public intoxication in Savannah, Georgia, LaBeouf was not the only person in the area to have a bad Friday night.
