SOS: Man locked in ATM machine writes notes for help

The repairman is an employee who was working on the automated teller machine (ATM), according to CNET. An officer kicked in the door to the room and freed the man, whose name has not been released. Corpus Christi Police Officer Richard Olden said, "We come out here, and sure enough we can hear a little voice coming from the machine". Eventually, however, the police were called and heard "a faint voice from inside the machine".

He passed notes through the ATM receipt slot to customers retrieving cash.

In an interesting incident, an ATM of Bank of America has been spotted dispensing handwritten notes that have been scribbled with an appeal "Please Help".

However, not all "help me." notes have such happy endings. "Please call my boss at 210-***-****". It wasn't until someone actually took his notes seriously that the authorities were summoned to help the guy out.

Initially, bystanders thought that the notes were part of a practical joke, but then one of them thought to call the police.

Officer Olden confirmed that the door did not have a door knob and that a device was really needed to unlock the door from the inside - in this case, the man's swipe card.

Corpus Christi police officer Richard Olden summed up the freaky incident: "You'll never see this again in your life that somebody's stuck in the ATM machine".

Police said a number of other ATM users ignored the notes thinking it was a joke. Some people assumed it was a joke and drove away, until one eventually got out of his vehicle, and approached the machine.

"You'll never see this again in your life that somebody's stuck in the ATM machine".
