Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington Died by Hanging, LA County Coroner Confirms

Among tributes to Bennington, baseball fans at the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium on Thursday night heard organist Dieter Ruehle play a rendition of one of Linkin Park's most recognizable songs, "Numb". On "Crawling" - one of the band's defining singles which went on to sell more than 11 million copies in the U.S., he said it was "about feeling like I had no control over myself in terms of drugs and alcohol".

Bennington, best known as the lead singer of the band Linkin Park, died by suicide this week.

Bennington had toured with Cornell and performed at his funeral, singing Leonard Cohen's classic "Hallelujah".

"I wanted to enjoy being a dad and having friends and just getting up in the morning". Another thing that has been revealed at this point is that Chester has been a close friend with famous singer Chris Cornell. Why would a man with six lovely children and a loving partner choose to go out this way?

"Chris Cornell died hanging from a hotel door separating the bedroom from the bathroom". Founded in 1996, Linkin Park made seven albums and had hits with songs including "In the End" and "Crawling". According to the New York Post, a series of vile messages were posted on Bennington's widow's social media page.

"They open up their loving arms to Chester's family and share in the sorrow with all those who loved him."

Linkin Park frontman Bennington, 41, took his own life yesterday at his Los Angeles home.

However, Bennington's vocals are at his most heartfelt and hopeful in this song, nearly making you believe that he had found some peace in his life at last. I just kinda lost a lot of respect for you.

Over a year before Cornell's death, he had also been publicly devastated by the sudden and shocking death of music and pop culture icon Prince.
