Barcelona can not "confirm or deny" interest in Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho

Whilst Liverpool have boosted their attacking options by signing Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke, they now face a battle to keep hold of playmaker Coutinho amid strong interest from Barcelona. That honor belongs exclusively to Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

Liverpool adamantly insist the Brazilian is going nowhere and have already knocked one bid back from Barca.

"He's not worth £150m, could they get £100m for him?"

- Swansea are facing competition from Championship side Leeds to sign 31-year-old Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo, who spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough.

That news should be widely celebrated by fans at Anfield.

- Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta, 33, says only Neymar can clarify his future and added "I do not think 200-300 million [euros] will be more beneficial for Barcelona than having Neymar".

Liverpool have been tracking the midfielder's recovery from a knee injury all summer and are reportedly prepared to make an offer for the Brazilian in the current window. "And in the future, if Neymar chose to leave, Coutinho could be his replacement", he added. Things seemed a bit uncertain with Liverpool's whopping price tag but with the player agreeing to take a pay-cut show his eagerness, which could convince Barcelona to continue their pursuit. Coutinho is a really good player, but he isn't anywhere near Messi's level. They can not wait till the end of the transfer window, as they will also need time to sign Neymar's replacement.

Also, Hazard would be a direct replacement for Neymar as the Belgian is capable of playing on the left wing and his dribbling skills and speed are comparable to that of Neymar.

"If Neymar wants to go, he can".
