Late Linkin Park Singer Filmed 'Carpool Karaoke' Episode Before Death

Less than a week before his untimely death, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington joined the band for a filming of an episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series.

The show debuted Tuesday with an episode featuring Corden getting jiggy with Will Smith, though no air date has been announced so far for the Linkin Park ride-along, which was originally set to debut in October.

Days before the Linkin Park singer died of a suicide July 20, Bennington and his band mates filmed an episode of the Apple Music spin off of Corden's "Late Late Show" sketch. News broke of Bennington's passing only a week after the band recorded their ep, rocking the music world and leaving family, friends, and fans completely devastated. In an interview with the Associated Press, James Corden said it's not his decision to make. "We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it, really", he said.

Losing Chester Bennington was a disgusting shock; seeing him in an episode of Carpool Karaoke would be incredibly bittersweet.

That's pretty evident in a preview of an upcoming episode of "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" in which LeBron lets it loose to Michael Sembello's "Maniac" from the movie "Flashback" with host James Corden.

Bennington's wife, Talinda, thanked Corden on Twitter for letting the family decide how the footage should be used.

His partner Debbie Gwyther then replied: "It's called Gavin and Stacey and you've never watched it", before Gallagher concluded "I don't need to watch it to know I won't like it. James Corden is a knobhead".
