Putin Says Relationship With Trump Is Casual: 'He's Not My Bride'

President Vladimir Putin seemed to be in top form during a news conference in China on Tuesday, answering a question about President Trump by saying the United States leader is "not my bride, and I am not his groom".

"All of this can lead to a global planetary catastrophe and a great number of victims".

Putin warned on Thursday that the US and other like-minded nations which pursued pressure policies against North Korea would not succeed and that the current situation could only be resolved through dialogue without preconditions.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says he will discuss North Korea with the leaders of Russian Federation and South Korea at an economic forum and will seek ways to get the North to change its policy.

On Monday night the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, accused North Korea of "begging for war" at an emergency meeting.

Activists and analysts have insisted that this is far from the case, and that diplomacy is the only way to avoid a "nuclear nightmare".

"It is far bigger than past (North Korean) nuclear tests", said Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera. "Clearly bloviating and sanctions are failing". "Let's wait and see how the situation develops further". More specifically, ways to bring about measures that fundamentally cut off North Korea's foreign currency income and crude oil supply.

It also came at the request of the German leader, who wanted to personally hear about the "shocking news" from the South Korean president and express the support of her country, as well as the European Union, for South Korea, according to Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Park Soo-hyun.

The Russia president said a nuclear-armed North Korea in unacceptable in a joint press conference with South Korean president Moon Jae-in.

Russian Federation says it is strictly implementing United Nations sanctions on North Korea, but in its public pronouncements it has taken a more doveish approach than most Western countries.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley said during a U.N. Security Council meeting Monday that North Korea's leader "is begging for war".

The White House says both leaders "underscored the grave threat that North Korea's latest provocation poses to the entire world" and agreed "to maximize pressure on North Korea using all means at their disposal".

Both Russia and the US have been trading diplomatic volleys, mostly expressed in kicking out some of the other country's envoys and diplomatic staff.

"We know that North Korea has nukes, we also know that North Korea has long-range artillery and it has other types of weapons and there are no weapons against long-range artillery - and these weapons can be hard to locate". Those missiles, successfully tested twice in July, have the ability to reach the USA mainland, North Korea says.

"T$3 his is an unprecedented thing", Putin said.

"As I told my colleagues yesterday, they will eat grass but will not stop their program as long as they do not feel safe", Putin said.
