Now share Instagram Stories to Facebook

Whether you're trying to plan tomorrow's trip, choosing which outfit to take or figuring out where to go for shopping; now it's easy to share a two-option poll right in your Story.

Profile photos and user names redacted for privacy.

After being tested in Portugal last month, the feature appeared for US users soon after and Facebook has this week confirmed it will be rolled out globally.

The feature only works in one direction at present, though Facebook apparently "hasn't ruled out" letting you start with a Facebook Story and cross-posting it to Instagram.

The move appears to be part of Facebook's larger attempt to bring the success its had with Stories features on other platforms to company's flagship social network.

One of the popular new fads in the world of social media, Stories feature was first debuted in the company's Instagram app in early 2016.

Facebook has been aggressively pushing Stories onto all of its platforms.

However, the tie-in could help Facebook enormously.

"You now have the option to share your Instagram Stories to your Facebook Stories". To rope in more numbers for their Stories, Instagram will now offer its members to post Stories directly to Facebook.

Despite it having pride of place at the top of the News Feed, most Facebook users are ignoring it, possibly because the Facebook Camera is still relatively new and unfamiliar.

Scroll down until you see Story Settings then click that option. For example, if you share a Status on WhatsApp, then you would also be able to share it directly on Instagram as well as Facebook directly from there.
