Woman Orders Yoga Mat, Gets $400K In Illegal Drugs Instead

The woman called police Saturday afternoon, September 30 from her Rock Hill home after opening the box.

Police said it appears the dealers tried to send the package from Newport Beach, California, to the woman's old address in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The woman explained she had ordered a yoga mat that was due to arrive on Saturday but when the mail carrier arrived, she handed the woman a package containing about 20,000 blue pills.

Brown said they found there were two bags of about 10,000 pills each.

After opening the box, she called the police and said she didn't know who would've used her name and address, the Rock Hill Herald said.

Drug agents said they're getting a new call every week about drugs shipped through the mail. Each pill is worth around $20 on the street, totaling the entire contents of the box to be worth around $400,000, they said.

He continued by saying the sender may have meant to send the package to the woman's former address at a empty condo in the area.

Brown said his team will try to trace the package and also see if they can find out where it was headed, and who was supposed to receive it.

The woman who received the package lives in a neighborhood off Ebinport Road.

The woman's neighbor, Nicole Riddle, was reportedly stunned by the delivery.

The pills have all been taken into evidence by Rock Hill police.

Police say the pills are likely to be counterfeit oxycodone from Mexico that were pressed from powder.
