Odell Beckham Jr. Ankle Injury: Giants Receiver Carted off Field

That wasn't even the worst part, as Beckham suffered a gruesome ankle injury that forced him to be carted off the field immediately.

According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, Beckham was nearly immediately "headed for surgery" after the injury.

The Giants lost Brandon Marshall (ankle) and Shepard in a few-snap stretch in the second quarter.

Beckham went down on a pass that fell incomplete with about 4 minutes left in the game, the Giants up 22-20 at the time.

Beckham's ankle was trapped under a Chargers defender he crumbled to the ground.

Beckham was carted off in obvious pain and, per Evan Washburn of CBS on the broadcast, taken directly to the X-ray room.

The Giants tweeted out that Harris has a broken foot, and Marshall sprained an ankle, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Shepard was injured when he was hit hard over the middle earlier on the same drive.

Beckham had five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown before he was hurt. His 48-yard grab during the game gave him back-to-back performances with a catch of 40 yards or longer.
