Padmavati Official Trailer| Ranveer | Shahid | Deepika | 1st December

And with all the hype surrounding the recent release of the first looks of the three leads, Rani Padmavati, Sultan Alauddin Khilji and Maharawal Ratan Singh, the makers have now released the trailer at the right time.

If fans remember, it was on the occasion of Navratri that Deepika Padukone's look as "Padmavati" was released. That might also be because Ranveer and Deepika and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are joining forces again.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati was in news earlier when Karni Sena members had vandalised the sets of the film, and had also manhandled the director.

"When I see the looks of Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer from Padmavati, I'm dying to watch the film". And his heroism is displayed when his wife, Rani Padmini, played by a gorgeous Deepika Padukone, puts the crown on his head with such pride.

The trailer does an excellent job in building the emotional high rather than dazzle us with big budget spectacle which is precisely opposite of Bajirao Mastani, directors previous attempt.

The trailer is skillfully paced with fighting scenes, an intimate encounter between two superstars that is Maharawal Ratan Singh (Shahid Kapoor's character) and Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh's character).

Shahid Kapoor's last box-office outing ended up being a damp squib.

Ranveer's character of Alauddin Khilji swept us off our feet, as he would play an antagonist in the film, and his appearance makes it more intriguing. Padmavati was the queen of Chittor and she is believed to have killed herself rather than letting Khilji capture her.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has beautifully captured the grandeur of the Rajputana kingdom and audiences will be in awe of the film with its sheer scale and magnitude. Even now, as the film's release date has been set for December 1, the Rajput outfit has vowed that they'd not let the film release in certain parts of India.
