Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Priced at Rs. 35999 Launched in India

It is powered by the flagship mobile processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835. Now Mi Mix 2 is launched today that is 10th October 2017. Today Samsung, LG, Vivo and even Micromax offer handsets with nearly bezel-less designs. The Ceramic built smartphone comes with minimal bezels at the top and side comes with flagship specifications.

The company made the bottom chin narrower than the one in the original Mi Mix.

The device has 5.99-inch, full-screen, edge-to-edge display with 18:9 ratio for better visual experience, hidden custom-designed earpiece and ultrasonic proximity sensor.

It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at up to 2.45GHz and coupled with 6GB of RAM. In spite of using a usual speaker, the company has managed to slim down the top bezel with some clever engineering. It will be upgraded to Android 8 Oreo.

By bringing the Mi Mix 2 to India, Xiaomi is signaling its intent to expand into the mid-range segment. It will feature a f/2.0 aperture, which supports facial recognition. Now, the next innovation is in the display technology, and as you can see, the trend is shifting towards taller displays. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / GLONASS / Beidou, and USB Type-C port.

The display beautifully blends with the device giving the phone an overall black look.

There are obvious downsides - no IP67 rating (water and dust resistant), MIUI (which quite a few people dislike), has a standard single-lens camera setup and there is no headphone jack or wireless charging - but I'm not going to get into that. A 3400mAh battery completes the package. The Mi MIX 2 supports Quick Charge 3.0 and comes packed with a QC 3.0 charger in the box. There was no mention of any other variants at the launch event. The device will be available in the first week of November.

The much anticipated "bezelless" phone from Xiaomi, Mi Mix 2, has been launched in India at a price of Rs 35,999 for the 128 GB version.

In addition to the Mi Mix 2, the Chinese company also introduce the Mi noise cancelling earphones on Tuesday.

Crisply visible in direct sunlight and considerably dim in low light, the display on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 works really well. This year in June it launched the OnePlus 5 but by August it had competition in the form of Nokia 8 by Finland-based HMD Global.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX will be sold exclusively on Flipkart, and the company's own website Mi.com.
