Google finally begins integrating Duo video calling into Android

This means consumers can now make video calls directly from the phone, messages, and contacts. But you can test it out at the Verizon stores and see why some reviews are already calling it one of the best Android devices to come out this year. But other previously Pixel-series exclusive apps and features, such as the Google Assistant, were eventually released for other Android devices as well as so there is definitely hope that everyone running an Android phone could potentially use the real-live translation feature of the Buds.

Google Duo with ViLTE is now being integrated into Phone, Contacts and Message apps on Android. The devices are now on pre-order, and in the U.S., you can only get them from Google and Verizon. Google has further assured that it will be adding a new feature which allows users to switch from voice to video calls without disconnecting the app. The scanning process is done 24/7, apparently not on your end, unless you decide to install the app. Google has also updated its Play Services app recently, the app has been updated to version 11.5.30 and comes with many stability improvements as well as under the hood changes. Because Android Nougat is required, here's the list of supported devices: Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, and of course the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL when they launch.

"We're working with our carrier and device partners to bring this experience to more Android devices over time", Google said. ViLTE stands for video over LTE and is an extension of VoLTE.
