President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un with President Trump suggesting that only military action can resolve the crisis. The two diplomats will join their South Korean counterpart in Seoul for further talks Wednesday on North Korea. It's been almost a quarter century of the same diplomatic policies under three different presidential administrations with very few results other than passing off the North Korea nuclear problem to their successor.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Sunday asserted that his diplomatic efforts to relax tensed relations with North Korea will continue "until the first bomb drops".

North Korean UN Deputy Ambassador Kim In-ryong said the situation on the Korean peninsula is very unsafe, and that nuclear war may break out at any moment, the World Agencies have said.

If elements within the Trump administration are at odds, the messages coming out of Europe are also confusing.

LUXEMBOURG-The European Union banned the sale of oil and oil products to North Korea on Monday, in a largely symbolic move aimed at encouraging countries that have more significant levels of trade with the country to follow suit. Such an action by North Korea would certainly bring the world to the brink of World War 3.
