The new shipping service is now only available to companies based in the USA and Germany. Once the customer selects the appropriate membership, all users on the account will receive an email notifying them that Business Prime Shipping has been enabled. Some sectors will undoubtedly see this new program as a threat to office supply shops likes Office Depot and Staples, retailers like Walmart and stores like Costco, which specializes in warehouse deals. The base price starts at $499 for a company with about 10 users and $1,299 for businesses with 100 users. Any new user added to an existing Amazon Business account with Business Prime Shipping will be automatically enrolled in this membership.

"Business Prime Shipping combines the wide selection of products available to Amazon Business customers, with the speed and convenience that customers have come to know and love from Amazon Prime", said Greg Greeley, Vice President of Amazon Prime. "We are excited to introduce a shipping program created to meet the needs of businesses and will continue to innovate on behalf of customers to make business purchasing even easier".

You can still place orders on Amazon Wine through December 31, and the company is still very much in the wine game by way of Prime Now (hour delivery for the win) and Amazon Fresh (their grocery delivery service), both of which get wine - and beer and liquor, in some places - to you faster than Amazon Wine could. In the United States, multiple users from a registered Amazon Business account can take advantage of free two-day shipping. The program later expanded to other markets, including Germany, as well as the United Kingdom, and more recently, India and Japan.

Aside from the usual benefits offered to Prime subscribers, Amazon Business provides other features big businesses need, like being able to compare offers between sellers, exclusive pricing on more than 5 million items, bulk discounts, integration with 30 or more purchasing systems, and reporting and analytics.
