Brother of Vegas shooter held in child porn case

The brother of Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock has been arrested for child porn.

The complaint signed Tuesday by a Los Angeles County prosecutor alleges Bruce Douglas Paddock possessed more than 600 images of child or youth pornography between January 1 and August 30 of 2014.

No one knew of his whereabouts after he was evicted from the shop in 2014, but police have been looking for him since.

The damaged windows on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas that were used by shooter Stephen Paddock to gun down 58 people at a festival below on October 1.

Bruce Paddock was arrested early Wednesday in North Hollywood.

In a press release, the Los Angeles Police Department said the investigation began after evidence was discovered inside a business where Bruce Paddock had been squatting after being evicted.

"They were just asking about our childhood, what schools we went to, who his friends were", Paddock said.

Bruce Paddock reportedly had a lengthy criminal history and over the years has been charged with various crimes including arson and burglary.

According to TMZ, police were tipped off that there was child porn on Bruce Paddock's computer and obtained a search warrant. Paddock killed 59 people in the meticulously planned attack and wounded 500 more more before shooting and killing himself.
