New Overwatch Map Blizzard World Coming in Early 2018

No word yet on when Moira will hit PTR, but expect her to be a bit controversial (just like nearly all new Overwatch characters). Moira is a support hero, offering both damaging and offensive options with her abilities, transitioning between two attack types: a yellow, healing attack, and a purple, damaging attack. Her ultimate deals heavy damage to enemies while simultaneously healing allies in its path. Moira is coming to PTR before releasing on consoles and PC for everyone at a later date. "Biotic Grasp" is her new short-range healing and damage ability, while "Biotic Orbs" reach longer-ranges via a throwable gadget. To see her trailer, look further up the article.

Today Blizzard Entertainment is celebrating its games at BlizzCon, and there is news for fans of the critically acclaimed Overwatch.

First up, we have the new hero, Moira. Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan outright joked her name should be spelled "OPAF". "Once she's charged Coalescence, Moira can save multiple allies from elimination at once or finish off weakened enemies". And her power is all in her hands: Her left hand heals allies, while the right hand does long-range damage.

Much like Reaper, however, she also has her Fade ability, which allows her to teleport across a short distance.

Blizzard World will be part assault and part payload and released early next year. The PTR will feature the map soon, but you'll have to wait a while before being able to play with it on live servers. Maybe you'll think a little bit differently the next time you obliterate an enemy Reinhardt in that throne room of the Eichenwalde map.
