Abraham among uncapped trio in England squad

Chelsea loanees Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been handed their first senior England call-ups along with Liverpool youngster Joe Gomez for the upcoming friendliest against Germany and Brazil, the Football Association has announced.

Swansea City striker Tammy Abraham was one of three uncapped players named in a youthful England squad on Thursday for their forthcoming friendly matches against Germany and Brazil.

Another Chelsea loanee, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, has been gaining valuable experience under former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace, and he too is called up for the first time.

Abraham is now on loan at Swansea City, from Premier League champions, Chelsea.

This is on the back of some impressive performances in the Premier League.

Gomez meanwhile has nailed down a regular starting berth in the Liverpool back-four under Jurgen Klopp after successive seasons lost to injury.

"We're in a position now where we've qualified for the World Cup and we always wanted to look at the team and how we want it to evolve", Southgate said in a statement.

And England manager Gareth Southgate has made a decision to hand the 20-year old his first call-up for the double header friendlies this November.
