Bucks steal Eric Bledsoe from Suns

Bledsoe hasn't played in a game for Phoenix since October 21, as the team reportedly has been expediting a trade for him.

The Milwaukee Bucks acquired disgruntled point guard Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for center Greg Monroe, a future first-round draft pick and a 2018 protected second-round pick on Tuesday. One day earlier, Bledsoe tweeted, 'I don't wanna be here'.

While the Sixers obviously won't take time on the court away from players like Ben Simmons or J.J.

McDonough reiterated last month that the Suns had no timetable for a potential trade involving Bledsoe.

Bledsoe is not expected to suit up for the Bucks on Tuesday night against Cleveland, as the plan is for him to meet with the team on Wednesday in San Antonito, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

With Bledsoe's arrival, the Bucks will have a high-scoring team when he plays alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. In my book, this trade was a win.

The main downside to the deal for the Bucks is that they were unable to jettison any of the undesirable, longer-term contracts belonging to Matthew Dellavedova, Mirza Teletovic or John Henson. With the trade, the Suns (4-7) now have three first-round picks in 2018. When he signed with the Bucks in the summer of 2015, Monroe was considered the most notable free agent to choose that small-revenue franchise.

The Suns aren't getting back much in return for their best player.

Milwaukee's first-round pick will convey to the Suns in 2018 if in the range of 11-16 overall, in 2019 if in the range of 4-16, in 2020 if in the range of 8-30 and in 2021 will be unprotected if it has not yet been conveyed.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski detailed why the Suns were shopping Bledsoe. To have a leader at the point guard position is exactly what this team needed.
