Best Buy has begun selling the Google Home Max speaker, with both the chalk and charcoal colors in stock, as first spotted by Phandroid. Shipments will happen in a couple of days following orders, so it can still make it under the tree in time for Christmas.

The Google Home Max is now available in the US. If your smart home appliances haven't been behaving lately, it's worth giving them a go. Select the Wi-Fi network and complete the rest of the setup process. Also, with Chromecast built in, you can cast from your phone from many more services.

That's because of the Smart Sound feature that comes with the Home Max. The Google Home Max automatically tunes itself in real-time to provide a balanced sound no matter where it is located. Smart Sound uses six internal microphones to measure the room's acoustics and then adjusts the equalizer settings using machine learning. The speaker provides access to popular music streaming services such as Spotify, Play Music and Pandora. It costs $399, but you can get a free 12-month YouTube Music subscription if you have not used YouTube Red or Music in the past.
