Brad Pitt is a really big "Game of Thrones" fan, as evidenced by the fact that he bid a whopping $120,000 in an auction to watch an episode with one of the show's stars.

According to a Variety report, the actor ponied up $120,000 at a charity gala to watch an episode of hit HBO series with star Emilia Clarke, only to be outbid by an unnamed individual.

Brad Pitt nearly had a chance to watch Game of Thrones with Emilia Clarke. She and co-star Kit Harington were in attendance, though in separate tables.

The auction started at $20,000 but quickly jumped up as the bidding war heated up. At one point, the auctioneer yelled out "Is the King of the North here?!" He apparently was, but in the restroom, however, when he re-entered the room he agreed to sit in on the episode viewing.

Other celebrities who attended Saturday night's festivities included the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Susan Sarandon, Lena Dunham, Kit Harrington, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tobey Maguire. The actor reportedly offered $80,000, before outbidding himself with $90,000.

Pitt was ready to cough up six figures to watch an episode of the epic HBO series with Clarke. However, Pitt's bid proved to be unsuccessful after an unidentified individual outbid him to claim the prize for $160,000. However, DiCaprio ended up with a second Josh Smith original that was also available.
